• Erasure as the new enforcement.

  Delisting is not violence. It is administration. Cut someone’s financial accounts, communications, identification, records and services, and you have removed them from society without touching them. They continue to exist biologically. In every other sense they cease to exist. The infrastructure this would require is not speculative — it is being built now, in the name of convenience.

• Dissent as a category error.

  The people delisted in the film have not committed crimes. They have expressed dissent, shared unauthorised narratives, or sympathised with destabilising ideas. Once enforcement is automated, the definition of a threat becomes a setting someone can adjust.

• Synthetic truth.

  AI can put a person’s face on a crime they had nothing to do with. When evidence itself becomes generatable, the accused loses the ability to prove anything — and the state gains the ability to prove whatever it needs.

• The people society leans on fall first.

  A teacher replaced by a machine shaping the minds of the next generation. A truck driver whose livelihood is automated away. A journalist who can no longer speak because his truth is a threat. The film sits with the gulf between those who wield power and those who bear its consequences.

• AI is a tool. The danger is whose hands it is in.

  Delisted argues that the answer to what is coming will not be found in technology. It will be found in each other. The film ends not with a system defeated, but with a voice filling a church — the case that the human spirit is the one thing AI cannot touch, replicate or erase.
